The Snow Reporters
The snow reporters start work at 5am to provide you the daily report. Ski patrol from each of the resorts call through with updates on the snowfall, snowdepths, weather, snow conditions, grooming reports and lift operations.
The Victorian Snow Report is issued via email at 6am daily throughout the season. If the weather conditions change significantly a second report will be issued later in the day.
The reporters provide updates to thirty radio stations across Australia, morning and afternoon. Click on the radio link to find the report in your area.
Carol Binder has been working for the Victorian Snow Reporting Service since 1993. Her intimate knowledge of all ten Victorian ski resorts ensures consistently accurate and timely snow information available at your fingertips and on your airwaves.
Each resort has its special hold over her, whether it be for downhill, cross country, snowboarding, or socialising at one of the many establishments or venues.
Originally from Melbourne, Carol moved to Bright after discovering her 'place on this earth', which has since nurtured her passion for snow-boarding, cross country skiing, and her summer sport of hang gliding. Now that she has discovered 'single tracks' with mountain biking, she swears to never move away.
Since returning from living and travelling in Europe, South America and Asia, Carol has returned to Bright and back to snow reporting refreshed and invigorated. Bring on the 2011 snow season!
Look out for Carol in her Holden Captiva the next time you’re visiting the resorts and have a chat.
