Season opening - family fun day |
| |
|
This event started in 2009 with the introduction of the new snow making machine. Held on the June long weekend, this is a great day out to celebrate the opening of snow season for 2010.
With a snow making machine that can guarantee they have snow for the opening, fun activities are planned such as toboggan races and a snow sculpting competition. Popular activities in 2009 included face painting, jumping castle, wine tasting, massages and great music from local band `Charlie Vee and The Coyotes`.
Lake Mountain`s mascot `Lenny the Leadbeater`s Possum` will be present, handing out showbags and joining in the fun. |

Why should skiers have all the fun? The annual tobbogan race day is a great day out for all, with fun for all ages and levels of ability. Sponsored by the local ski hires, great prizes and trophies are up for grabs.
With a carnival like atmosphere, music, balloons and showbags help to make the day even more enjoyable. The snow sculpting competition is a popular alternative to toboggan races.
The staff race at the end of the day creates lots of laughs from the crowd and a fitting end to a fun day. |
