This is a week for foodies. In its sixth year, the Mountain Fresh Festival runs over 6 days filled with events at Hotham and Dinner Plain. Hotham is hosting the Victorian leg of the Ski & Snowboard Australia Junior Series, featuring three snowboard disciplines - rail-style, big air and SBX.

Royal Australian Air Force teams will compete in a number of winter events at Hotham from 1 - 4 August.

It`s time for the next course of the A la Carte in the Park series! Hot Ham Banked Slalom will be served up in Heavenly Valley`s Gun Barrel. Take on the gates in the natural half pipe.

The highest level of Alpine Ski Racing in the Southern Hemisphere, this event showcases Olympians and National Team athletes from 18 different nations who will compete in two Giant Slalom and two Slalom races, to take home the title of ANC Champion and to improve their world ranking.

The highest level of Skier-X competition in the Southern Hemisphere. Competitors race down Hotham`s purpose-built skiercross course to see who reigns supreme when it comes to banks, burms and rollers.

The Australian Police Force compete in a series of alpine and snowboard events in the Police Winter Games.

Date to be confirmed. International snowmobiling champion Jimmy Blaze will take flight at Hotham this Saturday evening showcasing his signature moves, in the air, on a snowmobile. Come down to the front of The Team Hotham Clubhouse at the base of Hothamam`s Summit at 5.45pm on Saturday to catch the Big Air action and fireworks display (weather dependent).

Held from 3 - 6 September, students compete in a number of different disciplines.

Time for dessert. The last event in the A La Carte in the Park series, don`t miss the Spring Session Sorbet. It`s a Slopestyle Jam on the Summit Terrain Park with DJ Eddy, good tunes and fun times. The overall winners of the series will be announced at the presentations, make sure you get a seat!

It`s retro, it`s fun, but it may not always be pretty... Have you been dying to bust out that fluoro ski suit that’s been buried in the attic for the past decade? Well, Eighties Day at Mt Buller is just what you’ve been waiting for!

This event started in 2009 with the introduction of the new snow making machine, enabling us to guarantee snow for the opening. Held on the Queens Birthday weekend, this is a great day out  for the whole family to enjoy. With kids activities, music, wine tasting and community stalls there will be something for everyone. Toboggan races, snow sculpting competition, face painting and special appearances from the resort mascot Lenny the Leadbeater’s Possum are some of the highlights of the day. Come and join Lenny the Leadbeater’s Possum to help celebrate the opening and dance the day away with live entertainment!

Using artificial snow from Lake Mountain’s state of the art snow making equipment an experienced team will create a sprint race loop with different obstacles throughout the course, adding to the challenge for the competitors and enhancing the excitment for spectators. The course will be set in the main village area of the resort, providing spectators with a fantastic viewing platform. Come and be part of Australia’s first Cross Country Sprint ‘X’!!

The Interschool Championship Cross Country race is held annually at Lake Mountain. This is a great event to be part of if you have a team of students wishing to partake in the Victorian Interschool Championships held at Mt Buller. Held a week after Lake Mountains event, this gives the students time to train or have a practice before the big race. The event has age groups to suit students from Primary School right through to Secondary College. The Interschool Championships is also a great event if your students are wishing to compete in the Mini Series event also held at Lake Mountain. This is the major ski event of the season at Lake Mountain. Organised by local entity the Bullfight Ski Club, this event is great for serious skiers right through to skiers just wanting to have fun. Various race options are available including age categories, male and female races, and 3.5km or 8km distances. This is a freestyle event. Why should skiers have all the fun? The annual tobbogan race day is a great day out for all, with fun for all ages and levels of ability. Sponsored by the local ski hires, great prizes and trophies are up for grabs. With a carnival like atmosphere, music, balloons and showbags help to make the day even more enjoyable. The snow sculpting competition is a popular alternative to toboggan races. The staff race at the end of the day creates lots of laughs from the crowd and a fitting end to a fun day!

The Kids` Freestyle Clinic is for kids aged 8-16, and concentrates on jumping on the Big Air Bag and rail park skills. This clinic is suitable for skiers and snowboarders who are at an intermediate level (speak to Snow Sports if you are unsure). The clinic starts at 11am and cost is $50 for the two hours. 8:am - 5:00pm Tuesday, Thursday - week 1,2,3,4,5 every month

Get a team together for this fun Mt Baw Baw rac tradition! Ski down Mt Baw Baw`s Champagne run while holding a full glass of champagne and a chesse platter. The winning team is the first one across the line with the fullest glass of champagne and complete cheese platter. Open to all ages.

Dress your best this school holidays - whether it`s a funny beanie, retro gear or a fairy tale character. Frosti will be walking around during the day giving prizes for best dressed, so look out for the big green frog!

This free clininc is a great way to learn to snowboard. The Burton Learn to Ride Clinic will run for one hour with our qualified Instructors. It also includes free equipment hire! Ideal for beginners aged eight years and over. First in first served and you must have a valid Lift Ticket.

A brand new feature in the Battle has been created for this year`s 5th annual Battle @ Baw Baw sponsored by Forum Snowboards. The signature rail jam attracts riders from around and the globe, including Mitch Williams and Robbie Smith. Watch as they battle it out to win the "Battle".

Dreaming of a White Christmas? You can, in July! Mt Baw Baw comes alive with Christmas. There will be the traditional Christmas dinners available at Village Central all weekend, kids will be able to hang with Santa and his skidoo and watch his many snowboarding tricks. There will be lots of kids activities, Christmas carols and Christmas in July festivities to join in on.

The Village Night Jam is now in its second year, and there`s something about gathering in the Village and watching skiers and boarders pull tricks under lights! Entry to the event is free, standing room is unlimited and you`ll get plenty of chances to ride the night features and win great prizes.

This one is for the Cross Country Skiers. Race the 8.5km or 5km courses. Open to all ages and skills.

The Baw Baw Big Air attracts riders from all over. The Big kicker is set up near the Hut Run Platter, and spectators are treated to a display of massive tricks at whopping heights.

Opening Weekend will be ushered in with the annual Food and Wine Festival, which will host an incredible line up of Australia`s most prominent Chefs, with a series of gourmet food and wine events.
12 June - Snowexcuse Expo will feature Live music from 1pm at DP Hut, and fireworks will start at 7:00pm at Big Muster Drive.
