Whether it is green or white season Dinner Plain provides a unique and memorable experience. The distinctive architecture of Dinner Plain reflects the cattlemen’s history of the area and blends with the surrounding snow gums and high country landscape. Dinner Plain resides in the Alpine National Park providing accommodation for singles, couples and families with a well-stocked supermarket, gourmet cafés and restaurants open year round and many activities for that High Country adventure.

The winter season provides a range of activities and events including downhill and cross country skiing, snowboarding, snowshoe shuffles, tobogganing and snow play. The Dinner Plain ski run is a gentle beginner slope with a poma lift in a safe and protected area. When you’re ready for more of a challenge there’s a regular shuttle bus connecting Dinner Plain to the ski resort of Mt Hotham several times a day during ski season. Hire services for your skis, board, snow shoes or toboggan are located in the village making it a great family snow environment with lots to do, and ski school is available with prior bookings.

Strap on some cross country ski’s or your snow shoes and have a great day out exploring the extensive trail network that around the village, or try out the trail between Dinner Plain and Mt Hotham. Cross country trails are well-marked trails weaving through beautiful snowgums and edges on breath taking views through the Alpine National Park. Dinner Plain provides a unique snow experience the High Country during the winter season.

Sled dog rides are available (subject to snow conditions) that was originally unique to Dinner Plain weaving through snowgums and village trails. To ensure you explore the area guided snowshoe tours can be package with snacks or lunch. Tours also run in the green season where you can choose your adventure with mountain bikes, horses, 4WD, cycling, fishing and hikes.

After a day on the slopes, soothe tired muscles with a pilates session with Ski Fusion Pilates, or a visit to the Onsen Retreat + Spa.
