Located an easy three hour drive from Melbourne and a 30 minute drive from the neighbouring Mt Buller, Mt Stirling is a destination for all seasons. With more than 68km of maintained trails winding through sheltered woodlands of Alpine Ash and Snow Gums, scenic Mt Stirling is well worth exploring.

Mt Stirling’s pristine trails make it renowned as a cross-country skiing destination. Trails are free to use and well sheltered, offering great cross-country skiing whatever the conditions. Intermediate to advanced snowboarders will revel in the unique back country experience that Mt Stirling has to offer. While there are no lifts on Mt Stirling, riders trek to the Summit for the ultimate in fresh tracks.

Enjoy a true alpine experience and camp on Mt Stirling. The resort features a number of refuge huts and snow camping areas, which make it the ideal place to watch the sun set over the snow as you soak up the warmth of a camp fire.

The range of trails at Mt Stirling are ideal for snowshoers to explore. Be rewarded with unrestricted views of the surrounding region from the Summit, power along trails or just meander between the snow gums – the decision is yours! Telemarkers will love the freedom and untouched terrain Mt Stirling has to offer.
